For many years I traveled to teach cloth dollmaking as well as taught from my home studio. I took time off for my health and now I find myself branching out into other arts and mediums as well as returning to those techniques I taught years ago, even before my dollmaking days. Needle and Ribbon Embroidery are just one example. I want to work on more mixed media pieces beginning with a canvas, as well as designing more dolls. It feels great to be back in the saddle again!
I've been working on Lady Zen again today. She is mostly done. The camera was readjusted so the colors aren't exactly right but you get the idea. Her collar was done with gold leafing. Now just for the record, in the past I have always been afraid of the paintbrush but this technique was so easy! I love mixed media! I'm a new addict but have to stop and finish writing a class!
Judy, I love this! Can't quit looking at here and how she has evolved. I have been toying with the Zentangle methods too. Maybe I'll have something to post one day!
Thanks Joyce. I have a new love now!!!! As for the Zentangles - I've done them all my life - someone just gave them a name and started making money on doodling. LOL!
